Some 20 years ago I met Stephen Perry. He was fresh out of art college and had a passion for music that was infectious. He introduced me to the music of Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Mark Knopfler, Isaac Guillory and more besides. It was Steve that showed me my first chords on the guitar and more importantly filled me with the belief as time went by that I was capable of writing and performing songs that other people would want to hear.
Stephen went on to become a very successful and popular artist producing work that has sold around the world. So when the time came to prepare the artwork for my first solo album there was only ever going to be one person's door I would be knocking on for the image. The painting that Stephen came up with graced the cover of "Sowing Seeds" of which there are now thousands of copies in many countries around the world.
Having had so many enquiries about that picture Steve and I have decided to produce a signed limited edition print of the original painting and make it available to all via this website. This is to be the first of a series of paintings and prints that will be produced in conjunction with the release of my new album "Fall or Fly" over the coming months and with each edition being limited it will obviously be 'first come, first served'.
So we are excited to offer a signed limited edition reproduction from the cover painting of Sowing Seeds. The edition will be limited to 475 and will be available in two formats: either as a traditional giclee print on conservation paper or as a hand-embellished giclee on deep edge canvas. The giclee printing technique allows the artist to reintroduce the texture and brush strokes back into the image giving it a totally authentic and original look.
The size of the image in both formats will be 50cm x 36.5cm
