Forest Song
I can only imagine, the mist hanging in the trees
The pulsing of a million hearts singing in the breeze
The beauty of diversity, the colour of the scene
And each time I try I find it's all too much for me
It's all too much for me
I can only imagine the terror and the pain
The screaming of a million hearts running from the flame
As life's torn from the fragile heart by men pursuing gain
Another tree falls, another voice calls
But the world turns deaf again
Yes the world spins deaf again
I don't want to imagine life without a dream
A canvas with no colour, a mountain with no stream
A forest where the ash and rain have washed the life away
Where the tears that well up in the forest's eyes
Floods the world again
Floods us all again.
